IPTV Providers UK for Premier League 2026-27: True Season Cost

Short answer: for the 2026-27 Premier League season, the only UK providers with live matches are Sky Sports (215 games) and TNT Sports (52 games). Amazon no longer has any. Seeing every televised game legally costs roughly £660 to £730 for the season, depending on how you buy it, and the surprise is that TNT's 12-month "saver" deals can cost more than paying monthly and cancelling for the summer.

At a glance

Premier League on UK TV, 2026-27

Sky Sports 215 live matches
TNT Sports 52 live matches, incl. two full gameweeks
Amazon Prime Video No Premier League; sells TNT as a channel
Free BBC Match of the Day highlights only
Every game, flexibly About £660 for August to May

Who shows what this season

The current UK deal runs from 2025-26 to 2028-29, so 2026-27 is its second season and the split is now familiar. Sky has the lion's share, TNT has a smaller package, and Amazon, which carried Boxing Day and midweek rounds for six seasons, dropped out entirely after 2024-25.

Broadcaster Live matches 2026-27 Typical slots
Sky Sports 215 Saturday 5.30pm, all Sunday and Monday games, some Fridays (including the 21 August opener)
TNT Sports 52 Saturday lunchtime plus two full midweek or bank-holiday gameweeks
Amazon Prime Video 0 No Premier League rights this cycle
BBC 0 live Match of the Day highlights, iPlayer (TV licence needed)

That's 267 live games out of 380, and Sky has roughly four out of every five. If you can only afford one, it's Sky. If your club is a regular in the Saturday lunchtime slot, TNT matters more than its total suggests, so check your team's fixtures as they're picked for TV, usually five or six weeks ahead.

Why 113 games aren't on TV at all

UK broadcasters can't show live football between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays. The rule is meant to protect attendance at lower-league grounds, and it means the traditional 3pm kick-offs aren't broadcast live by anyone in the UK. There's no legal UK service that shows them, at any price.

This is the single biggest selling point of unlicensed services, which pull 3pm matches from foreign broadcasters. It's also the clearest sign that a service isn't licensed: if a UK provider is offering live 3pm Premier League games, it isn't one that Sky, TNT or the Premier League have authorised.

Every legal way to get Sky Sports

Route Price (autumn 2026) Contract Best for
NOW Sports Month £34.99/month None (Fully Flexible) Cancelling in June and July
NOW Sports Day £14.99 for 24 hours None One or two big games a month
NOW 12-Month Saver Lower monthly rate, then £34.99 12 months People who'd keep it all year anyway
Sky TV + Sports add-on About £20-22/month on top of Sky TV Usually 18-24 months Existing Sky customers
Sky Stream with Sports From about £35/month 31-day rolling option Wanting the Sky box without a long tie-in
EE TV, BT TV, Virgin Media bundles Varies; often includes TNT too 18-24 months Switching broadband anyway

NOW's base membership streams in 720p. If you're watching on a big TV, budget for Boost (£6 a month) for Full HD; Ultra Boost (£9) adds 4K where Sky shows it.

Every legal way to get TNT Sports

TNT Sports is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, and its direct-to-consumer route has changed name more than once. In 2026 it's sold as a tier of HBO Max in the UK, having previously sat inside discovery+ Premium.

Route Price (autumn 2026) Contract
Direct, monthly (HBO Max / discovery+) About £30.99/month Rolling
Direct, 12-month deals £25.99 to £27.99/month quoted for 2026-27 12 months
Amazon Prime Video Channels Monthly add-on, plus Prime (£8.99/month) Cancel any time
BT TV add-on About £20/month Tied to BT contract
Sky add-on About £34/month Tied to Sky contract
EE broadband customers Introductory offers from £5/month Tied to EE contract

The Amazon route is the one many people miss. If you already pay for Prime, adding TNT as a Prime Video Channel puts it in an app you already use, on the same bill, and you can drop it in the summer.

Where Amazon fits now

Amazon's role has flipped. It no longer broadcasts the Premier League, but it does two useful things for football fans this season:

  • It resells TNT Sports through Prime Video Channels, as above.
  • It shows 17 Champions League matches in 2026-27: the top Tuesday-night pick in each round, from the league phase to the semi-finals. That needs Prime (£8.99 a month or £95 a year). TNT shows the rest of the Champions League, including the final. Paramount+ takes over most UK Champions League rights from 2027-28.

The true cost per season, five ways

The 2026-27 season runs from 21 August to late May, so a monthly subscriber pays for about ten months. Figures use the prices above and leave out any one-off introductory discounts.

Approach How Season cost Per live match available
Sky only, flexible NOW Sports, Aug-May £349.90 £1.63 (215 games)
Sky only, in HD NOW Sports + Boost, Aug-May £409.90 £1.91
TNT only, monthly About £30.99 x 10 About £310 About £5.96 (52 games)
Everything, flexible NOW Sports + TNT monthly About £660 About £2.47 (267 games)
Occasional viewer One NOW Day pass a month £149.90 £14.99 per matchday

Two things fall out of the maths:

  • TNT's 12-month deals don't always save money. Twelve months at £25.99 is £311.88 and at £27.99 is £335.88. Ten months at about £30.99, cancelled for June and July, is about £310. The annual deal only wins if you'd also watch TNT's summer boxing, UFC or other sport.
  • Day passes stop making sense at three a month. Three NOW Day passes cost £44.97, which is more than a full month at £34.99.

Add Prime for Amazon's Champions League Tuesdays and the full set of televised Premier League plus Champions League football comes to roughly £750 to £830 for the season, depending on whether you pay Prime monthly or annually.

Why the £10 "UK IPTV" football deals don't add up

Search for "IPTV providers UK" and the top results are long lists of anonymous services promising Sky Sports, TNT Sports, every 3pm game and 4K for £10 to £15 a month. A large comparison site lists twenty of them while admitting it doesn't verify their licences. Do the sum above: the legal channels alone cost around £65 a month. Nobody is paying the Premier League out of £12.

The UK has been prosecuting this hard. Operators have been jailed for up to six and a half years in 2026, and in December 2025 FACT used a seized customer list to send warnings to more than 1,000 viewers. Beyond the legal side, these services tend to fail at exactly the worst moment: when hundreds of thousands of people press play at 5.30pm on a Sunday. Our guide to IPTV for sports explains why kick-off is when unlicensed streams collapse, and how to spot an IPTV scam lists the warning signs.

Getting a stable picture at kick-off

Even licensed streams can stutter if your home setup is the bottleneck. Before the big games:

  • Wire the TV if you can. An Ethernet cable or powerline adapter beats Wi-Fi at busy times. Our guide to buffering on Wi-Fi but not Ethernet explains why.
  • Check you have the headroom. Full HD needs a steady 8 to 10 Mbps per stream and 4K around 25 Mbps; see internet speed for IPTV and 4K.
  • Use the TV's motion settings sparingly. Heavy motion smoothing can make fast passes look odd; our 60fps sports settings guide covers what to change.
  • Expect a delay. Streams run 30 seconds or more behind the live picture. Mute the group chat if you don't want goals spoiled.

What is the cheapest legal way to watch Sky Sports Premier League games?

A NOW Sports Day Membership at £14.99 for occasional games, or NOW Sports Month at £34.99 for regular viewing, cancelled over the summer.
