Short answer: the top IPTV services in 2026, measured on hard numbers rather than marketing, are YouTube TV, DirecTV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling, Philo, Frndly TV, Fox One, ESPN Unlimited and Peacock Premium Plus. The table below puts price, channel count, DVR, simultaneous streams, 4K and local channels side by side. The figure people overlook is streams: the cheapest bundle on the list allows one screen, the best allows unlimited at home.
At a glance
Ten licensed services, by the numbers
| Price range | About $7 to $100 a month |
| Most channels | Fubo Pro, 200+ listed |
| Most screens at home | DirecTV, unlimited on home Wi-Fi |
| Best DVR | Philo, unlimited and kept a year |
| All four networks | YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV, most Fubo markets |
The top 10 table
Published terms for each service's main US plan, checked in early October 2026. Prices are before tax, promotions and regional sports fees. Channel counts are the services' own round numbers and include some minor networks.
| Service (plan) | Price/mo | Channels | Cloud DVR | Streams | 4K | Locals |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube TV (Full) | $82.99 | 100+ | Unlimited, 9 months | 3 (more with 4K Plus) | With $9.99 add-on | ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC |
| Hulu + Live TV | $99.99 | 95+ | Unlimited | 2 (unlimited add-on) | Limited events | ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC |
| DirecTV (Choice) | $94.99 + RSN fee | 125+ | Unlimited, 9 months | Unlimited at home, 3 away | Select events | ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC |
| Fubo (Pro) | $88.99 + RSN fee | 200+ | 1,000 hours | Up to 10 at home | Select events | Most markets |
| Sling Orange | $45.99 | About 32 | 50 hours | 1 | No | None |
| Sling Blue | About $50 to $55 by ZIP | About 47 | 50 hours | 3 | No | Fox, NBC in some cities |
| Philo (Essential) | $25 | 70+ | Unlimited, 1 year | 3 | No | None |
| Frndly TV | About $7 to $10 | 50+ | Higher tiers only | 1 to 4 by tier | No | None |
| Fox One | $19.99 | About 8 networks | Included | See note | Select events | Fox only |
| ESPN Unlimited | $31.99 | ESPN networks | Replays, not DVR | 3 | Select events | ABC simulcasts only |
| Peacock Premium Plus | $19.99 | NBC + streaming library | No | See note | Select events | NBC only |
That's eleven rows for ten services because Sling's two base plans are different enough to need their own lines. Fox One's and Peacock's stream limits weren't clearly stated on pages we could check this month, so test them in a trial before relying on more than two screens.
How to read each column
Price. The list price is the floor, not the bill. DirecTV and Fubo add a regional sports fee in many ZIP codes, from a few dollars to nearly $20. Taxes on streaming vary by state. A realistic full-bundle bill is often $95 to $115.
Channels. The least useful number here. Fubo's 200+ includes many niche and international networks; YouTube TV's 100+ covers more of what most people watch. Check your five must-have channels instead.
Cloud DVR. Look at two things: the cap (hours or unlimited) and how long recordings last. "Unlimited, 9 months" means anything older than nine months disappears. Philo's one-year retention is the longest here. Our guide to IPTV recording covers what you can actually keep.
Streams. How many screens can play at once. Two is fine for a couple; a family of four on a Sunday needs at least three. Some services count differently at home and away. How stream limits work explains the counting rules.
4K. On live TV, 4K means selected sports events, not every channel. Almost all regular programming arrives in HD regardless of service. If 4K matters, the device and connection matter as much as the service; see what a 4K label really buys you.
Locals. Varies by ZIP code on every service. "ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC" means the service carries all four in most markets, not all. Always enter your ZIP before signing up.
The four full bundles
YouTube TV has the best balance of numbers: all four networks almost everywhere, unlimited DVR, and the lowest full-bundle price at $82.99. Its genre plans from $54.99 keep the same DVR and household sharing, so the table row applies to them too, minus channels. The three-stream limit is its weak number.
DirecTV wins on streams (unlimited on your home network) and regional sports networks. The cost is the highest effective price once the RSN fee lands. Entertainment, the cheapest full plan, is $89.99 without RSNs.
Fubo lists the most channels and the most home screens, which suits sports households with several TVs. Its DVR is capped at 1,000 hours rather than unlimited, which is still plenty for most people.
Hulu + Live TV looks weakest on paper after the September rise to $99.99, with only two streams unless you pay extra. Its numbers make sense only if you count the included Disney+ and Hulu libraries as part of the value.
The skinny bundles: Sling, Philo, Frndly
Sling is the cheapest way to get ESPN inside a bundle, on Orange at $45.99. But Orange allows one stream, which rules it out for most families, and Blue has three streams but no ESPN. Both together are $64.99 with four streams. Sling now prices by location, so the figure you see may differ from your neighbour's.
Philo has the best numbers per dollar for entertainment: 70-plus channels, unlimited DVR kept for a year, three streams, all for $25. It has no sports, news networks or locals, and that's deliberate.
Frndly TV is the cheapest licensed live TV in the US, with family and classic-TV channels like Hallmark and Game Show Network. Its stream count and DVR depend heavily on the tier, so the bottom plan is a one-screen, no-DVR product. Our Frndly review walks through the tiers.
The single-network apps
Fox One, ESPN Unlimited and Peacock Premium Plus aren't bundles, but they've become real substitutes since 2025, and their numbers belong in the same table.
ESPN Unlimited ($31.99, or $319.99 a year) carries the full set of ESPN networks plus SEC Network and ACC Network. ESPN's support pages state three simultaneous streams for most content. There's no traditional DVR; you get replays and on-demand events instead.
Fox One ($19.99) carries your local Fox station in most markets plus FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, Fox News and Fox Business, with a cloud DVR included.
Peacock Premium Plus ($19.99 since the September rise) adds your live local NBC station to Peacock's library and sports.
Stack Fox One and ESPN Unlimited and you're at $51.98 for most national sports. Add an antenna for ABC, CBS and NBC. You give up the single guide and a unified DVR.
Cost per channel, and why it misleads
Divide price by channels and Fubo looks like the best-value full bundle: about 44 cents a channel against YouTube TV's 83 cents and Hulu + Live TV's roughly $1.05. Among the skinny services, Philo works out at about 36 cents and Frndly comes out cheapest of all.
But the number is meaningless unless the channels are ones you watch. A household that watches ESPN, its local stations and CNN gets more from Sling Orange plus an antenna than from 200 channels it never opens. A better test is cost per must-have channel: list the channels you'd genuinely miss, and divide the price by how many of them each service carries. That usually produces a different winner from the headline count.
Why the usual "top 10" names aren't here
Search this term and most results list services nobody has heard of, quoting 20,000 channels for $12 a month. None of them can show a carriage agreement with ESPN, Fox or a local station, and the numbers they publish are not checkable in any way. A licensed service's stats above can be verified on its own site, in its terms, and in your account. The others can't, which is the point. If you're unsure about a seller, these are the warning signs.
