Short answer: YouTube TV's $82.99 list price is negotiable in more ways than most subscribers realise. In September 2026, new subscribers were being offered $15 to $23 a month off for the first few months, Verizon customers could get $20 off for six months, and military members were quoted $15 off for a year. The biggest permanent saving isn't a coupon at all: switching to the $64.99 Sports Plan or $54.99 Entertainment Plan cuts the bill every month, indefinitely. The catch is that almost every promo is for new subscribers only, so if you've had YouTube TV before, the plan switch is your main lever.

A two-minute eligibility check
Go through these in order. Stop at the first yes; that's usually your best deal.
- Have you ever had YouTube TV on this Google account? If not, you're a "new subscriber" and eligible for the headline offers.
- Is your phone or home internet with Verizon? The Verizon offer, announced in December 2025, prices YouTube TV at $62.99 for six months for new YouTube TV customers who link through the My Verizon app.
- Is your internet from AT&T Fiber, Frontier or WOW!? Each has run YouTube TV bundle deals in 2026, from free months to $10 a month off for a year.
- Are you in the military? A military discount of $15 a month for 12 months has been listed for eligible members.
- Do you need all 100 channels? If not, a genre plan is cheaper than any time-limited promo.
Every current discount, compared
Offers below were listed or reported in September 2026. Several carried a September 30 expiry, and YouTube typically replaces them rather than ending discounts outright. Check the sign-up page for the one you'll actually get.
| Offer | What you pay | For how long | Total saving | Who qualifies |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New subscriber promo | about $60-68 | 3-5 months | about $69-75 | Never subscribed |
| Verizon perk | $62.99 | 6 months | $120 | New to YouTube TV, Verizon mobile or home internet |
| AT&T Fiber bundle | $0 | 3 months | about $249 | New AT&T Fiber customers |
| Frontier / WOW! bundles | $72.99 | 12 months | $120 | Their internet customers |
| Military discount | $67.99 | 12 months | $180 | Verified military |
| Sports Plan | $64.99 | Ongoing | $216 a year | Anyone |
| Entertainment Plan | $54.99 | Ongoing | $336 a year | Anyone |
You can't usually stack a partner deal with the standard new-subscriber promo. Pick the one with the biggest total saving, not the biggest monthly number.
The discount that doesn't expire
YouTube TV's genre plans, rolled out in 2026, are the only saving that doesn't end after a few months.
Sports Plan, $64.99. ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, plus ESPN, FS1 and the main sports networks. Drops most lifestyle and entertainment channels. $18 a month less than base.
Sports + News, $71.99. Adds CNN, Fox News and MSNBC.
Entertainment Plan, $54.99. FX, HGTV, Hallmark, Food Network and similar, but no locals and no ESPN. Pair it with an antenna for local channels; the antenna guide explains how.
All plans keep unlimited DVR and six household members. The honest test is to look at your "Library" tab and see which channels you actually recorded from in the last three months. If they're all in one genre plan, switch.
Internet and phone bundles
Telecom companies use YouTube TV as a sweetener to win internet customers, and these offers are often the biggest available.
The Verizon deal is the most widely available: $62.99 for six months for new YouTube TV customers on Verizon mobile or home internet, billed through Verizon. Verizon has also, at times, bundled NFL Sunday Ticket with specific home internet plans.
AT&T Fiber, Frontier and WOW! have each run their own offers in 2026. If you're switching internet provider anyway, ask each one what streaming perks come with it; it's worth more than the router they're offering. If you're not switching, don't change internet just for a YouTube TV discount. The saving rarely outweighs a worse connection. How much speed you actually need.
Already a subscriber?
Existing subscribers are excluded from nearly every promotion. Your options are narrower but real:
- Switch to a genre plan. Permanent, and you keep your DVR library for channels in the new plan.
- Pause instead of cancel. YouTube TV lets you pause membership for a period, handy over summer if you only watch for football.
- Go through the cancel flow. YouTube TV has shown discount offers to some subscribers who start cancelling. It isn't guaranteed and we can't predict who sees one, but there's no harm in looking; you can back out at the last screen.
- Drop add-ons. 4K Plus is $9.99 a month, Sports Plus $10.99. Check whether you still use them.
Cancelling and re-subscribing on a new Google account to get the new-customer price technically works but breaks the terms and loses your DVR library. We wouldn't bother.
A first year of YouTube TV, four ways
Short promos look generous until you add up twelve months. Here's what a new subscriber would pay over their first year, using September 2026 prices.
| Approach | First-year cost | vs list price |
|---|---|---|
| Base plan, no discount | $996 | n/a |
| Base plan, 3-month new-subscriber promo | about $927 | save about $69 |
| Base plan, Verizon perk | about $876 | save $120 |
| Sports Plan from day one | about $780 | save $216 |
| Entertainment Plan + antenna | about $690 | save about $306 |
The pattern is clear. Choosing the right plan saves more than any promotion, and it keeps saving in year two. If a genre plan fits, take it, and use a new-subscriber offer on top if one applies to that plan at sign-up.
About promo codes
YouTube TV doesn't use traditional coupon codes. Discounts are applied automatically on the sign-up page based on your account, or through a partner's link. Sites listing "YouTube TV promo codes" are almost always just linking to the same public offers.
Avoid anything that asks you to pay a third party for a "discounted YouTube TV account." Those are shared or resold logins. They get shut off, and you have no recourse. The same goes for IPTV sellers claiming to offer "YouTube TV channels for $10"; they're not licensed. How to spot them.
Is a discounted YouTube TV the best deal?
Sometimes a discount makes you buy something you'd be better off without. Before signing up, compare:
- If you only want ESPN, ESPN Unlimited is $31.99 on its own.
- If you don't want sports at all, Philo is $25.
- If you want locals and have good reception, an antenna is free.
Promos end. After three to six months, you'll be paying $82.99 unless you've moved to a genre plan. Put a reminder in your calendar a week before the promo ends so you can decide deliberately. For a wider comparison, see cheaper YouTube TV alternatives and how YouTube TV compares with IPTV.
