Best IPTV in USA for Sports: League-by-League Picks, 2026-27

Short answer: no single service in the USA carries every league in 2026-27, so the best IPTV for a sports fan depends on which league you follow first. For the NFL, any bundle with local channels plus Prime Video. For the NBA, ESPN plus Peacock plus Prime. For the NHL, a plan with both ESPN and TNT. For your local MLB, NBA or NHL team, DirecTV, because it carries the most regional sports networks. For soccer, a mix of Peacock, Paramount+ and Apple TV. Across all leagues, YouTube TV's $82.99 Full Plan covers the most national games in one app, with DirecTV Choice the pick when your home team is on a regional network.

At a glance

Best licensed route by league, 2026-27

NFL Locals + ESPN bundle + Prime Video
NBA ESPN + Peacock + Prime Video
NHL ESPN + TNT (Sling Orange is cheapest)
Local MLB/NBA/NHL team DirecTV Choice, or the team's own app
College football A bundle with SEC, ACC and Big Ten networks
Soccer Peacock, Paramount+, Apple TV

Why sports fans need a league-first ranking

Most "best IPTV in USA" pages promise every game for a few dollars a month. Those are unlicensed streams, and they're at their least reliable at exactly the moment you need them: kickoff, when demand peaks and rights holders send takedowns. This guide sticks to licensed routes.

Licensed sports in the US are split three ways. National games sit on broadcast networks (CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC), cable networks (ESPN, TNT, FS1) and, increasingly, streaming apps (Prime Video, Peacock, Netflix). Local games for NBA, NHL and MLB teams sit on regional sports networks (RSNs) or, for a growing number of teams, on local stations and team apps. Out-of-market games are sold by the leagues as separate packages. A service that's brilliant for one league can be useless for another, so we rank by league, then pull it together at the end.

Prices are October 2026 list prices before tax and regional sports fees.

NFL

Where games are in 2026: Sunday afternoons on CBS and Fox; Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock; Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC; Thursday Night Football on Prime Video; Christmas games on Netflix. Out-of-market Sunday afternoon games are in NFL Sunday Ticket, sold through YouTube.

Best route: YouTube TV's Sports Plan ($64.99) plus Amazon Prime. It covers your local CBS, Fox, NBC and ABC stations, ESPN and NFL Network, with unlimited DVR and multiview. Prime adds Thursday nights.

Cheapest route: an antenna for CBS, Fox, NBC and ABC (free), plus Prime Video for Thursdays. That's every game in your market except ESPN-only Monday games. Add the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited bundle ($35.99) for those.

Watch out for: Sunday Ticket doesn't show your local team's games, and it isn't included in any bundle. Our NFL 2026 viewing guide goes window by window.

NBA

Where games are in 2026-27: the second season of the NBA's new national deal. Games are on ESPN and ABC, NBC and Peacock, and Prime Video. TNT no longer has NBA rights. Local games are on RSNs or, for some teams, local broadcast stations and team apps. Out-of-market games are in NBA League Pass.

Best route: a bundle with ESPN and NBC (YouTube TV's Sports Plan works), plus Peacock Premium ($12.99) for Peacock-exclusive games and Prime Video for Amazon's package.

Cheapest route for national games: antenna for ABC and NBC, Peacock Premium, Prime Video and ESPN's service through the $35.99 Disney bundle. Roughly $63 a month in season if you don't already have Prime, much less if you do.

For your local team: check the team's site first. If it's still on an RSN, DirecTV Choice ($94.99 plus a regional sports fee) is the most reliable bundle. Several RSNs also sell their own app. The cheapest way to watch the NBA in 2026-27 has the full breakdown.

MLB

Where games are: 2026 was the first season of MLB's reshuffled national deals, with Fox, TBS, ESPN, NBC and Peacock, and Netflix all holding pieces. In October, the postseason runs on Fox, FS1, TBS and NBC's platforms by round. During the regular season, most games are local and sit on RSNs or with teams whose rights MLB now produces and streams itself.

Best route: for a local team, DirecTV Choice where the RSN is carried, or the team or MLB's own in-market stream where it isn't. For national games, a bundle with Fox, FS1, TBS and ESPN; YouTube TV's Full Plan and Sling Orange & Blue both have all four.

Cheapest route: MLB.TV for out-of-market fans, plus an antenna for Fox. If you follow one team in its home market, the team's direct streaming option is usually cheaper than any bundle with an RSN.

NHL

Where games are in 2026-27: nationally on ESPN, ABC and TNT, with TNT's games also streaming on HBO Max. ESPN has announced 100 exclusive national games for the season across ABC, ESPN and its streaming platforms. Local games are on RSNs; out-of-market games are sold through ESPN's streaming service.

Best route: a bundle with both ESPN and TNT. That rules out YouTube TV's Sports Plan, which doesn't include TNT. YouTube TV's Full Plan, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV and Sling Orange all have both. DirecTV is the pick if your team is on an RSN.

Cheapest route: Sling Orange at $45.99, which carries ESPN, ESPN2 and TNT. One stream only, which hockey households of one won't mind. Alternatively, the Disney bundle for ESPN plus HBO Max for TNT's games.

Watch out for: Fubo has historically not carried TNT. Check before you choose it for hockey.

College football and basketball

Where games are: college football is spread across ESPN, ABC, SEC Network, ACC Network, Fox, FS1, Big Ten Network, CBS, NBC and Peacock, with some games on The CW. The College Football Playoff is on ESPN, with some games sublicensed to TNT. March Madness is shared by CBS and TNT's networks.

Best route: the conference network is the deciding channel. YouTube TV's Sports Plan carries the ESPN family including SEC Network and ACC Network, plus Fox, FS1 and Big Ten Network. Check the exact plan against your conference.

Cheapest route: antenna for ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, plus the Disney bundle for ESPN networks; Big Ten fans can add Fox One ($19.99) for the FS1 games an antenna can't pick up. Our college football 2026 guide goes conference by conference.

Soccer

Soccer is the most fragmented sport on US TV, and bundles help least here.

Competition Where it is Licensed route
Premier League NBC, USA Network, Peacock Peacock Premium plus a bundle with USA
Champions League Paramount+, CBS Paramount+
MLS Apple TV Apple TV subscription
La Liga, Bundesliga ESPN platforms ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited
Liga MX Spanish-language networks Univision/TUDN, Telemundo, Fubo Latino

Best route: pick by competition, not by bundle. For the Premier League, see what Peacock carries in 2026-27.

Overall ranking for multi-sport homes

If your household follows several leagues, here's how the bundles stack up for national coverage, before adding streaming apps:

Rank Service Price Strong for Weak for
1 YouTube TV Full Plan $82.99 NFL, NBA, NHL, college, national MLB Local RSN teams
2 DirecTV Choice $94.99 + RSN fee Local teams, plus all national cable Price
3 Hulu + Live TV $89.99 ESPN-heavy homes, NHL Two streams by default, few RSNs
4 YouTube TV Sports Plan $64.99 NFL, NBA, college NHL and March Madness (no TNT)
5 Fubo Pro $88.99 + RSN fee Many screens, many RSNs TNT-dependent leagues
6 Sling Orange & Blue $60.99 NHL, NFL Network, budget Locals, DVR, RSNs

Every one of these needs Prime Video and Peacock on top for complete NFL and NBA coverage. For a deeper comparison of features like multiview and delay, our sports streaming comparison covers them.

A rotation calendar that saves money

Everything above is month to month, and sports seasons don't overlap neatly. A multi-sport household can run something like this:

  • September to early February: a full bundle for NFL and college football, plus Prime.
  • October to June: add Peacock for NBA; keep ESPN and TNT access for NHL.
  • March: make sure TNT is in your plan for March Madness.
  • Summer: drop to MLB.TV or your team's app, plus the antenna.

Expect to spend more in autumn and much less in summer. For most homes that's still cheaper than one top-tier plan all year.
